Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as whether you're logged in — so you don't have to re-enter it every time.
We also use similar technologies like localStorage and session storage for the same purposes.
2. Cookies We Use
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| next-auth.session-token | Keeps you signed in to the landlord dashboard. Deleted when you sign out. | Session / 30 days | Essential |
| tenant-session-token | Keeps tenants signed in to the tenant portal. Separate from the landlord session. | Session / 30 days | Essential |
| next-auth.csrf-token | Prevents cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks on form submissions. | Session | Security |
| next-auth.callback-url | Remembers where to redirect you after logging in. | Session | Functional |
3. What We Don't Use
We do not use:
- Advertising cookies — we do not serve ads or use ad networks
- Third-party tracking cookies — we do not embed Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, or similar trackers
- Analytics cookies that track individuals — any usage metrics we collect are aggregated and anonymized
- Fingerprinting — we do not use browser fingerprinting techniques
4. Third-Party Cookies
Some third-party services integrated into Freeholdia may set their own cookies:
- Stripe — sets cookies for fraud detection and payment processing when you interact with Stripe-powered payment flows. See Stripe's Cookie Policy.
We have no control over third-party cookies. Please refer to the respective parties' cookie policies for more information.
5. Managing Cookies
All cookies we set are essential for the Service to function. If you block or delete session cookies, you will be signed out and will need to log in again on each visit.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Note that disabling cookies will prevent you from logging in to Freeholdia.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new features or integrations that involve cookies. We will update the "Last updated" date and notify you by email of any material changes.
